His rap moniker may be “Wispers,” but his life and his music speak volumes – to one day echo loudly through the Hip Hop halls of fame.
Wispers knows hardship and struggle all too well, In the past he’s had repeated misfortunes with the law, through which he became all too familiar with prison, and subsequently the loss of his brother to senseless gun violence. However, despite the odds and on a mission to deliver his contribution to Hip Hop, this Boston-born rapper has overcome his hardships and is determined to persevere far beyond his environment and previous situational circumstances – with music as his refuge and Hip Hop as his worldly savior.
An innovative talent, Wispers credits Tupac as a musical influence, citing his evolutionary composition talents; Jay Z for his career longevity, and Micheal Jackson for his unmatchable contribution to music and the world. With mixtapes like “Go F*ck Yourself Vol.1″, (2006) “Go F*ck Yourself Vol. 2,”(2007) and “Guilty by Association,”Wispers invites his fans into his world – telling the story of his journey from the streets to the studio, and how he’s found his purpose in music and Hip Hop. Growing up, Wispers had his run-ins with the law. His mother tried relocating to various states in effort to try to give him a chance at a life different than the one he knew in the streets. Having lived in areas such as Boston, New York and Florida, Wispers attributes the diverse exposure to the overall appeal of his music.
“Many people live their entire lives and never leave their state, city, or even their block. By moving me around, my mom showed me another world, and you can hear that in my music. My story is mine, but it can speak to more people than just the ones in my neighborhood,” says Wispers.
When previous business relationships under delivered, the determined rapper decided to take his career into his own hands. Wispers releases his music under Code of Silence (C.O.S.) Entertainment, an independent entertainment company, which he owns. Here, his efforts as a business man evolved, as did his musical project(s). Wispers launched his website (www.iamwispers.com), where fans and label representatives can keep up with his latest music and follow his musical progress. His mixtape, “Ain’t No Plan B” hit the streets hard in 2011. Wispers is currently working the current single hard all over the world while in production for his debut album.
